On Friday former Ohio State wide receiver DeVier Posey was drafted by the Houston Texans in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft, 68th overall, and will now write the next chapter of his football career in Texas. He went from serviceable, to dependable to near-stardom right in front of our eyes during his four seasons in Columbus - interrupted by controversy that threw the program, and his senior season, into a whirlwind - but his career contributions to The Ohio State University should be celebrated. August 30th, 2008 - DeVier makes his Scarlet and Gray debut, catching 4 passes for 47 yards and scoring his first collegiate touchdown against Youngstown State in the Horseshoe.
January 5th, 2009 - In the final game of his freshman year DeVier plays in his first bowl game, catching 2 passes for 13 yards in a 24-21 heartbreaking loss to the Texas Longhorns at the BCS Fiesta Bowl. (photo via Getty Images)

October 24th, 2009 - DeVier goes crazy at home against Minnesota in a 38-7 blowout, scoring two touchdowns of 57 and 62 yards on his way to 8 catches for 161 big yards.

September 11th, 2010 - In a much-hyped match-up with the Miami Hurricanes in Columbus Posey reels in 4 catches for 105 yards, including one for 62 yards, as the Buckeyes fended off the 'Canes 36-24.

October 30th, 2010 - Posey lights up Minnesota once again, this time in Minneapolis, recording 6 catches for 115 yards and a score in Ohio State's 52-10 blowout of the Gophers. (photo via The Ozone)
November 27th, 2010 - DeVier and the Buckeyes knock off rival Michigan once again, this time in Columbus, to close out yet another B1G championship (later to be vacated). Posey hauled in 5 catches for 82 yards and a touchdown, helping Ohio State to a 37-7 win.
December 28th, 2010 - After news of NCAA violations broke just days before, Posey (pictured with Adam, Herron and Pryor) faces the media and fans and apologizes for decisions made.
January 4th, 2011 - Posey gets his second BCS win, this time vs Arkansas in the Sugar Bowl in a game that would later be vacated, hauling in 3 catches for 70 yards and a touchdown enroute to a 31-26 win over the Razorbacks. He would only play three more games in SCarlet and Gray after this appearance, all losses.
November 19th, 2011 - Posey makes his return from ten games of suspension to record 4 catches for 66 yards in a losing effort on Senior Day, his last game at Ohio Stadium.
November 26th, 2011 - DeVier faces Michigan one last time in Ann Arbor and scores a 43 yard touchdown on a pass from Braxton Miller. Ohio State would go on to lose to the Wolverines 40-34.
January 2nd, 2012 - Posey suits up in Scarlet and Gray one final time in the Gator Bowl versus Florida, making 5 catches for 38 yards and a touchdown.
April 27th, 2012 - DeVier is selected 68th overall in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft by the Houston Texans.
